Issue

  • After submitting a form I want to disable Liferay’s “Success” confirmation messages.

Environment

  • Liferay DXP 7.1

Resolution

  • At the time of writing, there isn’t an official method/process to prevent confirmation messages appearing, therefore we advise caution in using the described blanket approach below.

To disable confirmation messages, add the following property to your Liferay DXP 7.1 portal-ext.properties file:

    javax.portlet.init-param.add-process-action-success-action=false

(For clustered environments, add this property to the portal-ext.properties file of each clustered node)

Additional Information

  • Please note that some out-of-box components do not include this property; in tests, adding this property has shown to largely disable confirmation messages.
  • Disable Form's Success Page in DXP 7.3
