Issue

  • Can I use Liferay DXP with macOS?

Environment

  • Liferay DXP

Resolution

  • macOS is not included on the Liferay DXP compatibility matrix.
  • While the matrix covers production systems, developers can run Liferay on other operating systems with a supported JDK version. To avoid operating system issues on macOS, use the official Liferay Docker images (which run on supported Linux and JDK versions).

Additional Information

  • If you report an issue observed while using a bundle hosted on macOS, Liferay Support will only investigate it on a supported operating system. If an unsupported operating system turns out to cause the problem, Support's ability to help is limited.
