Built-In Agents
AI Hub ships with agents that do content work for you inside Liferay CMS. Each one handles a single job: drafting a content entry, filling one field, creating an image, or suggesting how to categorize an asset. You reach them from the CMS interface, and they all run in the AI Assistant, so the conversation looks the same wherever you start it.
Built-in agents become available once AI Hub is integrated with your Liferay DXP instance, which includes enabling the AI Hub feature flag. If you don’t see an option described in these articles, confirm that step is complete.
Choosing an Agent
| To do this | Use | Start from |
|---|---|---|
| Draft a new content entry from a description | Generate Content | The Contents section’s New menu |
| Fill a single field while editing an entry | Generate Field Value | The AI Assistant, in the content editor |
| Create images from a description | Generate Image | The Files section’s New menu, or a File field |
| Suggest categories for an asset | Auto Categorize | The Categorization panel, in the content editor |
| Suggest tags for an asset | Generate Tags | The Categorization panel, in the content editor |
Generating Content with AI Hub covers the first two, since both create or fill content. Generating Images with AI Hub covers the third. Categorizing Content with AI Hub covers the last two, which both suggest values you review before adding.
Built-In Agents and the Agent Builder
The Agent Builder is where you manage the agents in your AI Hub account, and its list includes built-in agents alongside any you create. Built-in agents are read-only there: you can view and duplicate one, but not edit it. To change how an agent behaves, duplicate it and customize the copy, as Building a Custom Agent shows.
AI Hub also offers writing tasks that act on text you select in the editor, such as Change Tone and Improve Writing. See Enhancing Content Management with AI Hub’s Writing Tasks.
